Connections relies on the support of the community to raise vital funds and awareness for marginalised and disadvantaged children, young people and families in Melbourne’s south and east.
We encourage all our friends and supporters to get involved in fundraising and there are so many ways to do it!

Fundraise for Connections
Participating in a fun run, going without chocolate for a year or even climbing a mountain? You can set up a sponsorship page with all proceeds going to Connections – not only will you be able to receive messages of support, the funds you raise will support people in need in your local area.

Host your own Pancake Day
In 2002, UnitingCare Pancake Day was launched in Australia. Since that time, more than 1.5 million pancakes have been sold to assist those cared for by UnitingCare.
Connections, is proud of its links with UnitingCare and is keen to support events such as Pancake Day that raise awareness and much needed funds.
We encourage you to run your own Pancake Day event - it’s easy and fun! The money you raise will support children, young people and families in your community.

Make a Birthday Party pledge
Why not make a birthday party pledge!
You can raise funds for Connections by asking your family and friends to donate to us in lieu of birthday presents. They will be blessed and it’s a big Birthday blessing for those marginalised and disadvantaged children, young people and families in your community.
You could also become a Birthday Blessings donor with Connections. Simply download the Birthday Blessings Brochure (below) and sign up to become a birthday blessings donor and you will receive a beautiful hand written birthday card from us every year on your birthday with a donation form that you can fill out and return to us.
The birthday cards issued as part of the Birthday Blessings program reinforce our commitment to social justice as they are sourced from community development orientated, fair trade organisations to ensure that this program really does spread the blessing!

Collect items for the Christmas Food & Gift Appeal
The Connections Christmas Food & Gift Appeal supplies food and gifts to families in need but relies on the goodwill of other members of the community.
We encourage and support schools, churches and community groups to collect non-perishable food items and gifts for the Appeal which will then be distributed to those in need to ensure everyone has something to celebrate this Christmas.
